skilled Hardware & Software Personnel with their tremendous efforts
towards excellence in quality Management has always been appreciated
by the corporate houses. We do efficiently
in the following fields:
COMPUTER & SERVICES
is doing its business under sole proprietorship since its inception
1998. India is now the
ultimate destination of ITES – BPO Call Center. Now it is felt to
be the right time to open the most lucrative business in I.T Industry
namely, ITES-BPO Call Center and to open Computer Assembly / Manufacturing
Unit. Here effort is being
made to describe facts with analytical attitude, considering organized
management. Effort is made to maintain transparency. Back Ground of Owner: Computer Engineer Proficient in the field Computer
Hardware, Networking, Software and also website development. Aims: The aim of COMPUTER
& SERVICES is to maximize profit and to be established in I.T.
World after exploiting existing locally available resources and borrowing
resources from abroad. The availability
of primary resources in respect of Information
Technology: Human Resources: Qualitative, cheap and available in our locality in
abundance, i.e., in Calcutta, India. Hardware: There are good vendors where imported computer spares
are available in competitive rate, Calcutta, India. Technology: There is the advancement of Information Technology
in India. Money: Money could be borrowed from abroad as Foreign Direct
Investment in the form of Venture Capital. Further investment is also
possible from Financial Institution of India and from abroad. Objectives:
The objective is
to enhance the activities of COMPUTER & SERVICES in such a fashion
that it would make a new dimension. The primary objective
is to work under the following activities: 1) BPO: The most lucrative are the ITES-BPO Call Center in India targeting for offshore outsourcing job.
There is a good number of bidding offer of BPO jobs from some outsourcing
sites. 2) ITES: There is a good demand of so many IT Enabled Services. There
is a good number of bidding offer of ITES from some outsourcing sites. 3) Call Centers: There is a pool of good English speaking educated community
having computer knowledge and other exposure. The major recurring
expenditure depends on workforce. The quantitative yield depends on
workforce. There is a good demand of Call Centers - like Medical
Transcription Job 4) Software Development: a) Databases: The IT world may be segregated in two parts Databases and Communications. The work on databases is labor intensive. The work
on communications required sophistication of Technology. Since the
labor is qualitative, cheap and in abundance, we do concentrate on
the job of Databases. There is huge requirement on
databases job throughout the world. The job would be I) to create/organize
database development for Govt. and private parties abroad. II) Batch
processing job involves database development, data entry job, and
collected output of data to provide to the parties according to their
ultimate requirements. Thus we do satisfy the Outsourcing job requirement
of databases of the world. b) Animation
work: There is a good demand
of animation work of the world. We shall concentrate to make a good
team for that purposes. c) Website development: There is a good demand of website development. The
staffs of database development and the staffs for animation work may
take part in website development. The major works classified as HTML,
XML etc., databases like, MySql, PHP, ASP, JAVA, DB2, .NET and Pearl,
CGI-BIN etc., Animation like Flash, Maya etc. Therefore, in other
words, a good team may do the three major categorized jobs. It may
be noted that COMPUTER & SERVICES has good exposure on website
development. 5) Computer Mfg./Assembling & supply to govt. Dept.: It may be noted
that the scenario of supply of Computers in Central Govt. Dept. has
been changed. Now the Govt. is issuing Tender for purchase of Computers
with mentioning the specification of computer but not the brand of
it. Therefore, any assembler/manufacturer is able to supply computers
after competition with HP, Compaq etc. It is needless to mention that
the rate of spares coming from Southeast is very competitive and lucrative.
COMPUTER & SERVICES has lot of exposure in this field. The cost
of labor is minimum. The recurring expenditure is minimum. The lead-time
for production is minimum. The financial strength is required at the
time of Tender application, Purchase and Sale (Supply). The competition
is tough and profit margin is less. 6) Networking & Project work: The volume of Hardware sale is good
in this job. The profit margin is better. The recurring expenses in
comparison with volume of work are minimum. A good project may be
possible with comparatively low human resources. The recurring expenses
are less. Only financial strength for purchasing and implementing
is important. Our experience will help to participate in new challenges. Conclusion:
It is concluded that there are three basic units are required to satisfy
our demand. These are mentioned categorically in following: 1) Call center: It requires the Call center operator. 2) Software Unit:
Include ITES, BPO, Database development, Animation Work, Website development.
These require quality Software personnel and good managerial staff
for suggestion planning for ongoing offshore requirements from clients.
Thus
it would be turned into the Think Center of COMPUTER & SERVICES.
The Web Server would be the important tool of the entire system. 3) Hardware Unit:
include Computer assembly/manufacturing, Network & Project job.
These require computer Hardware personnel and Network administrator. o
Thus the COMPUTER
& SERVICES would be independent to work in IT industry. The existing
scope of business in which we are working may be allotted to the two
units viz., Hardware Unit and Software Unit. o
Furthermore,
there are many sites facilitating online biding against these ITES,
BPO, and other Software related jobs. We could do well by utilizing
these systems. o
For information,
already we have completed a good part of databases for Tendering information
of Govt. Dept. and undertakings throughout the country. It is expected

Production is less. The quality of Production is high in comparison

power of a person earning USD2,000 from USA is equivalent to the purchasing
power of a person earning INR20,000 in India. But USD2,000 = INR88,000.
Therefore, there is a surplus of INR68,000 = USD1,545. Therefore,

Methodology: We could organize the systems likewise: 1) To establish the two web servers running with Linux
and Windows connecting with VSNL gateway through leased circuits. 2) To establish Think
Center contains ITES-BPO, Software Development center in a good
locality close to Air, Road, Rail station in Calcutta. 3) To establish Call center in a good locality in Calcutta. 4) To establish Computer assembly / manufacturing unit.
The entire management would be from online and works would be from distributed network. The system will be integrated through online to make coherent work. The coherency of all the four activities make entire Project effective. Required Implements: Web server: P-IV Dual Processor (Intel)/ Xeon RAM /SCSI Card /
RAID HDD / DAT Drive / Router / 2MBPS Modem / Leased Circuits / Linux
/ Windows2000 / Application Software. Redundant UPS, Generator and
Air conditioner will support the servers. Think Center: It can accommodate 32 personnel. Software works -
15 nos., Data entry operator – 5 nos., Managers / Consultants and
others for jobs of Clients – 5 nos., Manager, Accountant, Clerk, Assistant,
Marketing staff and others –7 nos. The database server and file server
shall control entire network. Call Center: The Call center shall accommodate 40 operators and
other staffs including Manager etc., 10 nos. The total accommodations
are for 50 nos. The reliever of operators is 10 nos. The total computers

Engineer, Customer Support engineer, Network Engineer, Manager, Marketing

efficient workforce. Existing Infrastructure: 1) COMPUTER & SERVICES has three offices; two are in
35 km away from Calcutta (i.e., in greater Calcutta) and one in central
